There are several Swedish style "pubs" in Falun, but we found this one the nicest and actually came back after first having had a pub lunch here that was OK (and with salad buffet included). The main watering hole seemed to be Harrys (a national chain) but they were closed when we first went out and then had a bouncer which we figured a bit tragic for a Wednesday night, and a place called "The English Pub" was simply embarrasing to the Englishman in the company, so we simply headed for relaxed Kings Arms again and had another, nicer evening meal and some pints. This mock English pub with its clashing log cabin interior has friendly staff and decent food and serves a good pint of Murphys along with other beer. The atmosphere is relaxed and I bet it was only the quiet Christmas period that made it calmer than normal. Visible from the entrance is another bar called Cheers which we never had time to try.
