At Lugnet national ski stadium, you are free to have your own race along the tracks of the champions. Having said that, the whole area is full of other arenas and forest trails so you might rather do some other exercise or just go tobogganing with your children. In summer, running or swimming in the open air pool are alternatives. Just outside Falun is the Lake Runn which in winter is frozen and used for long distance skating and other activities whilst in summer you can go fishing.
