In the area by the lake Väsman you can take a swim and visit one of the 2 cafés and take a look at the typical Swedish fishes "gädda, aborre and mört" in the small aquarium which also hosts a small shop with local hand-made stuff.
Visit the beautiful church found in the 1750's and find the amusing round gravestones.
On the way up to Hammarbacken there is a large, three-storey granary built in 1805 and is use for exhibition puposes. There's a cafe and a museum that shows how the blacksmiths lived around 1900.
Very nice indeed!

This is an very old farmyard with well preserved buildings. It's nice to walk around the small area but there are no info signs about the area and that's too bad. In the summer there are some activities here and a café.

Ludvika mining museum was opened in 1938 and was the first open-air museum of industrial history in the world.
When I was there in May it wasn't open yet even though it was a nice summersday and it was rather messy with rubbish laying around the place. Even the water in the small lake was full with rubbish.
If it's not open there's no need to go there because there's no signs whatsoever that tells you what the buildings were used for.
