This is the ice hockey team from Gävle and they have played in the highest division for many years. Gävle has a strong ice hockey culture. Their old ice hockey stadium was called Gavlerinken, but they play now in Läkerol Arena.

Yes, free fishing is no problem if you wander across the city centre to the parkland along the river (Stadstrýdgýrden). Trout and salmon can be had.
If you fancy fishing in the archipelago instead, there is info on current boats at the tourist office.
