Hudiksvall is some 300 kilometres north of Stockholm. It may sound far, but there are several possibilities to get here. If you have a car, you take road E4 to the north from Stockholm, direction Sundsvall. It will take you some four hours and you just keep following the same road.
Without a car, the best way to go, according to me, is definitely train. Fast and comfy. The northbound trains from Stockholm all pass by Hudiksvall. It takes about three hours and there are several departures every day to chose from. Also, you can take the bus. It will take a little longer, but often it is cheaper. Along the way there will be a food-break. The buses are called Y-buss.

The road E4 primary route connects Hudiksvall to Stockholm and the north. A major road, number 84, connects Hudiksvall with inland areas to the west.
You can also get here by train. The route Hudiksvall-Stockholm have around 10 trains a day. Six of them is the express train X2000.

The easiest and most convenient way to reach Hudiksvall is by train. Regular trains take you from Stockholm up the coast in around 2 hours - a lot quicker then driving.
