Sure, the water will never get as warm as the Med or elsewhere until climate change is well under way but on a hot day, who cares! The beach is looong and doesn't feel that crowded even on the sunniest of days. It is also clean and with enough conveniences to give it an EU Blue Flag (second pic). There is a cafe at the stairs down from the Tylösand hotel, even if most bring their own picnic or lunch in one of the local restaurants.
If you have small children, you are best of at the smaller beach down by St Olov's Church (signposted) but there is no problem to stay on the main beach either, it's just not as child friendly.
