In Sweden colors are used to mark the difficuty of slopes:
Green is used for very easy slopes where everyone including small children can go.
Blue is used for easy slopes good for beginners, children and to warm up if you feel a little insecure on skiis.
Red is used for medium hard slopes, usually a little steeper for those that are beginning to feel sure on their skiis.
Black is used for hard slopes for those that are seasoned on skiis, they are ususally the steepest and many has bumps or moguls.
Because this is the municipality closest to the Trondheim-Meråker area in Norway, people from that area come shopping in the much cheaper Sweden. Prepare to queue if you go to tobacconists or the state liqueur shop Systembolaget during rush hour. In fact, its parking place could fool you that you were in Norway! :-)
