This is supposedly Jämtland's biggest tourist attraction for some bizarre reason. It's perfectly OK but how it can be the biggest here amongst the fells beats me completely. As a zoo, it is average with a small savannah, lions, tigers, monkeys and some others and it also has a free small circus as well as as a childrens fairground run by a crew of more or less enthusiastic Poles. If your children wants happiness and you want to study Swedish and Norwegian families in action, try it. Personally, I would go somewhere else but my daughter of course loved the place which is why we went in the first place. Sweden has better zoos than this...
Unique Suggestions: Let your child go on all the rides she wants - especially the bouncy castle for some real entertainment for you :-))). DO see the tiny, tiny monkeys in the tropicarium. Talk to the arctic wolf who is very playful.
Fun Alternatives: Get up Frösö Viewing tower and admire the views across to Norway on a clear day. If you have small children, take them to one of the two good swimming pools in town or play crazy golf in the park by the lake.
