Just outside the little town of Sveg there is this great skiing "centre" with white snow, steep hills for more advanced skiiers, easy slopes for children and NO QUEUING! Compared to the ski resorts of Vemdalen and Åre in Jämtland/Härjedalen, Sweden, the prices are fantastic! It is so cheap!

Go fishing for the day, rent a snowmobile, try Curling. Several of the winners of the ladies' world cup were born there - the winner of the ladies' biathlon lives nearby.

Equipment: To get to the slopes - rent a car. It is nearby, but bus service may not be that good.
