 larserik1 Says:  There are plenty of mushrooms in the forests around Markaryd. The right season is from July to September. And everyone can walk in any forest and pick mushrooms, lingonberries or blueberries. Very nice!

Peace treaty of Knared 1613, Markaryd

 larserik1 Says:  This is the place where the peace treaty of Knared between Denmark and Sweden was signed 20 January 1613. It is said that the Danish King Christian IV himself was present and that the treaty was signed using the flat stone in front of the memorial.
