Folköl to drink
The nightlife seems to consist of buying cans of beer at extortionate prices from street kiosks and downing them while looking for a kebab takeaway. Don't expect to see any Abba lookalikes. They've all flown off to Mallorca where the beer is cheaper, even with the air fare included in the price. Class II beer in Sweden is commonly known as 'folköl' - just try saying it out loud - and telling the average English football fan what you are drinking can be somewhat hazardous if his team's ability has just been embarrassingly exposed at the hands, or rather feet, of the Swedes. Drinking in Sweden can be expensive, too. People have been known to blow two weeks' holiday money on a couple of beers while in transit at the airport in Stockholm.
