There is nightlife in Kiruna, but not the nightlife usual barhoppers are looking for.

A night, sitting around an open fire with friends can be so exciting...illuminated by the full moon and starlight, and maybe some northern lights....howling wolves far away...

Dress Code: anything, but warm

There isn't much nightlife in Kiruna. It's a sleepy little village. I think there is a bar somewhere where the locals hang out, but I didn't go to it. But if you've been spending the day at the ice hotel, skiing/snowboarding, or out on safari or dogsled rides, you'd probably feel to tired to go out and party anyway.

The Absolut Icebar inIcehotel probably enjoys more international fame than the trendiest bars in Stockholm. Twice mentioned in Newsweek as one of the most stunning bars in the world, it certainly leaves no-one cold…

At night, the bar is a natural meeting place for all those who are taking the plunge and spending the night in Icehotel. Perhaps they feel the need for a little night-cap. They will encounter many nationalities in this truly cosmopolitan bar; Japanese tourists as well as visitors from The United States, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, France, Poland and even South Africa.

Regulars at the Absolut Icebar may have met the Swedish Royal couple or the Irish President. Perhaps they have also rubbed shoulders with 'supercool' models like Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss or the Swedish model Marcus Schenkenberg, the famous photographer Herb Ritts, the Swedish rock star Jennifer Brown or the American rock band Van Halen.

This is the only hotel here. You can either book a room on the hotel or rent a apartment. The apartment is the cheapest.
Food, there is one resturant here and everything on the menu is very expensive so if you staying in a apartment I suggest that you make your own food. There is a store where you can shop everything necessary.
Nightlife, well there is only one bar and disco here so all the people will go there. So it gets crowded but crazy.

Dress Code: Come as you are!!

O'Leary's, a pub, restaurant, sports bar, it seems good choice for food and drinks and rather popular in this city.
