Linköping Restaurants

Wasabi is my favourite sushi restaurant in Linköping. The service is good, the sushi has always tasted wonderful and fresh and they have take away (slightly cheaper than eating inside the restaurant). The personnel are asian and appear to know their stuff.

They serve classic sushi, vegetarian sushi and a couple of japanese meat dishes. I've only eaten their classic sushi.

The cheapest take away is around 6 € (good value!).

Favorite Dish: My favourite is the standard 8-pieces sushi. Relatively cheap and enough to get you satisfied.

As far as restaurants go I have yet to find a favorite but Restaurang Gula Huset is a good one. However through out the city you are able to find a variety of restaurants that good and vary in cuisine. However I would say that the best way to eat during a swedish summer or spring is by having a barbeque somewhere outside. If you are interested in coffee Steve's coffee is great and is right across from Gula Huset along the same road as the Nationeras Hus.

Coffeehouse by Gerorge is a chainstore coffeehouse throughout Sweden. The one in Linköping is situated on stora torget, so if you get a seat by the window it is a good place to people watch.

The atmosphere of the coffeehouse is how a coffeehouse should be - nice and relaxed, and you can sit there at your leisure while you enjoy the good food and beverages.

They offer many different varieties of coffee and tea, as well as cold drinks. Items on their menu includes: pancakes, crepes, baked potatoes, bagels, ciabbata, toasted sanwhiches, sallads and a variety of cakes and sweets.

Favorite Dish: For a snack I definitely recommend the strawberry cheesecake with vanilla sauce, and a hot chocolate with cream.

Otherwise their chicken ciabbata with sweet chili sauce is delicious as well.
