    Trädgår'n: Trädgår'n - Great Summer Place

by Psife Updated Apr 4, 2011

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The outdoor serving/pub of Bacchus located in a nice enclosed garden. Teher's also an indoor bar where they have big screen TV during big games like the Euro 2004.

They serve pub food, hamburgers, sandwiches, sallads, etc. The food is not the best but you go to Trägården for the atmosphere and the enclosed garden.

They serve all kinds of coffee, tea, hot chocolate with pastries, cakes, pie, sandwishes and sallads.

Favorite Dish: Either a Latte with a homemade muffin or an expresso with cinnamon bun.

JollyRockets: Did they close this place?

We didn´t actually find many other restaurants, but the food was o.k. to be a hamburger (I´m not big fan of them) and my husband even said it was great. I think he is more expert on hamburgers ;)

I searched this at net today, and it looks like they have closed the place. I wasn´t sure is it closed forever, or will it open soon again, so I´ll put it here anyway.
Service was very friendly-and there was lots of different beers. As someon ahs noticed, we are "beer-tasters" everywhere. Now we needed to wake up early, so we did only drink one bottle each.
Place looked fun, like 1950´s rock´roll style. Music was more like todays rock,at least at saturday-night.

    Favorite Dish: chicken-burger

    Babels Torn: Bad food

    by gugi66 Written Nov 5, 2008

    Babels Torn (Tower of Babel)

A really cozy restaurant, but the man who worked there is a joke, he was more interessted in a woman by the bar then us guests.

We orderd pork schnizel (filé Oscar) with french fries. When he came with the food it looked really good, but the meat was burned and dry and so much sauce on the meat.

    Terrible service.

Favorite Dish: I DONT RECOMEND THIS RESTAURANT

    Knäppingen: Knäppingen

by Psife Updated Jul 5, 2007

Located in the City museum with cellar vaults as well as tables next to the river restarant Knäppingen serves modern swedish cooking with international influences at lunch and á la carte. Their lunch is problably the best in Norrköping.

In the summer they arrange concerts together with Knickedick (www.knickedick.net) in the inner yard with modern swedish artists like Laleh, Timo Räisänen and Anna Ternheim.

Favorite Dish: Their lunchmenu is different every day, therefor I have no favourite dish but their homemade bread is delicious and their soups superb.

Peking House: Peking House - Chinese buffé

by Psife Updated Jul 5, 2007

A Chinese restaurant that has a great lunch buffé as well as a weekend buffé, all you can eat, with 8 kinds of dishes, bread, sallad and coffee. The lunch buffé is about 70 crowns and the weekend buffé is 98 crowns.

Used to be one of our favourite restaurants where my friends and I meet when they are in town.

Nowadays there are several other chinese and thai restaurants nearby with similar or better meals and deals.

Laxholmen: Laxholmen - Great Lunch Buffet

by Psife Written Sep 23, 2003

At the top of the Museum of Work there is a restaurant that serves a great lunch buffet. They make really high quality dishes and it is really popular to have lunch there, especially when eating with guests or clients. Having the best view in Norrköping is a bonus.

Each day they serve two main courses and one vegetarian course with a couple of small courses, soup, pie, bread, sallad and dessert at a buffet where you can eat as much as you want for 65 crowns.

A local restaurant/pub with really goood food with not very expensive prices. They have some great fish and meat courses and very good wok courses for those not as hungry.

In the summer there's an outdoor café. It's also the pub where the IFK Norrköping (soccer) supporter club Peking Fanz meets for beer before the games.

Favorite Dish: One of their specialities, the DurkBurger. A burger with spanish sausage and garlic dressing.

A coffee place set in the old industrial landscape. The indoor part is in the City museum and has nice old vaults and an old wooden shelf/desk I could die for. Outdoors, you can sit in the gardens next to the water, overlooking the Museum of Work and Motala Stream.

    Favorite Dish: Typical Swedish pastries.
