Here you can find books abt Sweden in many different languages and abt many different topics from culture to traditions. Here you can almost everything about Sweden in the book world. You find many Swedish authors in all kind of languages. Books abt Swedish history/culture and language. This shop is little more expenisve, and one reason I can think ofis the location. Almost everything in the Old Town is expensive.

Designtorget is a shop which sells things made by Swedish designers, but now they also start their own collection. You will find them when you ask in the shop or under the sign "Egna Saker". I have no idea what they will look like, but it will be very interesting at least. Check more on their web page.
The Gränby Centrum is the largest shopping centre in the city of Uppsala. It is located approximately three kilometers northeast of the city centre. This one stop shopping mall has six cafés/restaurants and approximately 60 shops including two large supermarkets, i.e. ICA Kvantum and Coop Forum, a large department store viz. Åhléns, two banks, and a large Systembolaget, the largest in the city. You will be able to buy almost all your daily requirements from this one roof shopping mall. Most of the shops deal in clothings, shoes, household products, sports goods and pharmaceutical products etc. Free parking lots for approximately 1,800 motor vehicles are available around the shopping mall. It is a "must-visit" shopping centre if you are having your vacation in the city of Uppsala for several days or for a longer period. Opening hours for most of the shops are between 10.00 a.m. and 8.00...

The Sky City (Shopping Arcade) is located between Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 of Arlanda International Airport in Stockholm. Sky City must not be mistaken with the duty free shops inside the departure and transit terminals. The shopping centre is opened to members of the public, not necessary the pasengers who travel abroad. Of course EU citizens are not entitled to purchase duty free products at tax free prices such as liquors and cigarettes. Wide range of items are on sale at the Sky City. Non tax free items such as clothings, leather goods, souvenirs, postcards, toys, arts and crafts, jewelleries and watches can be purchased by members of the public. Lots of fastfood and elegant restaurants are also located at Sky City. Items that are highly recommended are Swedish souvenirs, arts and crafts, and postcards. As this is the international airport, prices are expected to be a little bit...

A Swedish hot dog you can usually find anywhere. It can be at the football game, in a kiosk, on the square or at the petrol station. A hot dog is typical Swedish fast food. You can have them only with bread or with mashed potato. Very deliciously. I prefer to put on mustard and ketchup too. It taste better then. You also put hot dogs in tunnbrödsrulle (see that word). From 10 SEK to 25 is the normal price. It depends where and when.

Sweden pricesExpect to pay $16 to $18 for a beer in a tourist class restaurant. I went with a group through the Scandinavian countries in 2008 and I, and nearly everyone else on the tour, was shocked by the prices. The Scandinavian countries are socialist. Many of the things Americans have to pay for (health insurance, higher education) are free. The result is that Scandinavians have a higher percentage of ‘disposable’ income than Americans. They pay the same $16 to $18 for a beer and don’t think twice about it. Come prepared to these countries.
Uppsala Åhléns Department Store is located at Stora Torget (literally means the large square) in the heart of the city of Uppsala just in front of one of the busiest bus terminals in Uppsala and along the popular and the only pedestrian street in Uppsala. There is a supermarket known as Hemköp on the ground floor. Fashion accessories, handbags for ladies, books and magazines, porcelains and many other trendy products. Prices...

Uppsala Flea Market is held every Saturday from early in the morning until approximately 3.00 p.m. in the afternoon. It is held at Vaksala Torget (Vaksala Square) just opposite the new Uppsala Concert and Congress Hall in the heart of the city of Uppsala. The square is usually packed with locals searching for bargains and the market may sound interesting to foreign tourists.Basically old artilcles and items still in perfect conditions are on sale by the dealers in the market. Most of them deal in porcelains, books and magazines, souvenirs from other countries, clothings, electrical goods, cameras and cds, dvds, video tapes and even old LP records and grammophone. If you are lucky you may even find some antiques in the market. Nevertheless you may also find some dealers dealing in new consumer products especially watches. Don't forget to bargain before making payment for your...

Saluhallen is located at Hötorget (Hay Market) within a stone's throw from Drottninggatan (pedestrian Street) in the heart of the city of Stockholm. This market hall deals in food and drinks ranging from fresh meat such as chicken, beef, pork, mutton and fish to canned food, bread, vegetables, flowers and wide varieties of cheese and nuts.
