Gorgeous local food in a beautiful surrounding. I really recommend a walk around the premises as is it so beautiful. they cook traditional swedish food that is lovely.
Favorite Dish: Everything with their home-grown herbs.
As haussed up as this place is in Swedish tourist circles, I was still impressed once I got here! The sisters Lundgren (who started the cafe when they thought they would otherwise have to sell the farm) no longer run the place, but one of their son's do. He has stuck to the old success formula and coach loads come here from all over the country to try the vanilla hearts and other great cakes and cookies. The vanilla hearts have become particularly famous since they were the old king's favourite. He used to come here a lot on his way to Sofiero Castle outside Helsingborg. I would personally come for the strawberry lemonade on its own! Had to buy a bottle and treasure it for weeks before it disappeared. It is not cheap to stop here as you will want to try a lot and they know good business and will charge you extra for their reputation. It's worth every crown though. The staff serve you in old time aprons in the now extended, and very nice garden, and with a glass of water with your coffee. Afterwards, you can take your children to see their snoring pig or the goats in the fields beyond. Idyllic - just don't try to come during Midsummer weekend as then the place is full, full and full.
