H99 architectural area, Helsingborg
For some years around the late 90s an onwards, it was popular to hold "housing fairs" in Sweden - a trend which became very expensive for the host cities as not that many turned up to pay to see modern apartments. Helsingborg got its turn in 1999 and architects worked to create a whole new part of the city by the waterside. The result is not spectacular but still a nice destination if you like modern architecture and the houses are probably very nice to live in for those who can afford it with the latest technology and design. Moreover, the area is very lively on a sunny day and it is not far from the station anyway. Dunkers Culture House has been built next to it too so you really cannot avoid it if you are into art.
