Höör Things to Do

  • Castle Park

The oaks in Bosjökloster's park is not as old as the grand oak but nevertheless impressive and very nice to stroll under to get away from the crowds. There is a cattle grid in this part of the castle grounds as the park is often grazed by social donkey mares and their foals.

  • Bosjökloster Church

At Bosjökloster, the church goes in the same style as the castle itself and looks like it could only be found in Scania or, naturally, Denmark.

  • The thousand-year-old Oak

I don't think anyone knows for sure but that is the name of this very, very old oak in Bosjökloster's grounds. Definately one of Sweden's oldest trees.

Höör Restaurants

  • Charming inn

This is a very charming inn right in the middel of Scania. It serves well made food with near produced products and it's delicious. The owners are very nice people who always do their best to make your visit fantastic. salmon, herring, and accompanying hot dish buffet - served on sundays.

  • Talking parrots!

Sk?nestugan was the place just outside the zoo which my husband remembered from his cycle trip here alone 2003. When we camped here 2004, we therefore went for a beer in the restaurant. It could have become more if they didn't close already at 18.00 on a Saturday as people leave the closing zoo then...not enough thirsty campers to keep it open???....

  • Typical local inn

I have never been here, but it is known as one of the typical Sk?ne inns and therefore, should be one of the better places to dine in here. Has a good position along the main square too.It is also a hotel if you're looking fore something more upmarket than the campsite :-)See the quite informative homepage for further info.

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Because the beer and spirits are stupid expensive in Sweden( beer bottle 45 SKK=4,5 EUR!!!!) we sat on the porch and drunk our own beers liqours.
It was kinda fun, cause norwegians has a great sense of humour and they do know how to drink!

Höör Transportation

  • Main line stop

H??r is along the Stockholm to Copenhagen main line and whilst the fast X2000 trains just whizz past, there are plenty of so called ?resund trains between Copenhagen/Malm? and Kalmar stopping, as well as local commuter trains from Malm? and Lund. Also the occasional slow InterCity train from Stockholm (Norrkýping, Linkýping...)

  • Charter bus from Copenhagen

I flew to Copenhagen, where i met some 60 danish people. I join them and we have a charter bus. Höör is near Malmö, and cause there is nowadays a bridge between Denmark-Sweden, its fast way to move. It tooked one hour from Copenhagen to Höör(and plenty of beer, too).

Blommerýd Arab thoroughbred stud is one of the most famous Arab studs in Sweden. Here, they not only breed the gorgeous looking horses, but you can go for countryside rides. If you only want to look at them, there is plenty of opportunity, in fact, they even have a guesthouse if you can't get enough. That should give you enough time to see the showground, racecourse and stables. There is also a restaurant nearby.

Favorite thing: Skånes Djurpark is undoubtedly the main attraction, and one of the main zoos in Sweden as far as quality goes.

Fondest memory: Höör is ideal for children, just look at this campsite picture of a very relaxed child :-) It is sure to bring out the child in you too though...
