There are two airports close to Lund: one is Malmoe (Sturup) Airport located 30 km south-east of Lund. The other one is Copenhagen Airport(Kastrup) which is in Denmark.

Lund is best reached from Malmö or Copenhagen by train, there are at least 4 trains per hour to Malmö, in teh average every 20 minutes a train from Malmö over Europes longest bridge crossing the Öresund to Copenhagen, passing the Copenhagen airport on the way. From London Stansted the airport Malmö Sturup is served twice a day by Ryanair.
A good bus network cares for your local transport but cycling is the most popular urban transport of the locals.

It couldn't be easier to find Lund as it is along the main train lines Stockholm to Malmö/Copenhagen and Oslo/Göteborg to Malmö/Copenhagen. There are also coach lines such as Swebus to Lund and as it is only 15 minutes from Malmö, there are plenty of local commuter trains and several commuter trains to Copenhagen every hour.

If you want to go anywhere in Lund you might want to talk the bus, that is what many locals do. You have to pay 12 kronor (€1.30) for a single trip.
But if you want to discover Lund on your own, bike is the best way.

Being a small town, the fastest and nicest way to get around is cycling, and indeed you will see a big lot of them everywhere, even to the point that the bike traffic is heavier than the car traffic here!
Don't worry if you don't own a bike here, you can always rent it directly at the train station, from Tommy Olsson at Lundahoj (there's the option of renting a tandem one if you're not alone :-)). Just check that it has a nice lock and that you never forget to lock it when you park it, since bike theft is the most common crime over here!
There's also a quite reliable bus network (stadbuss), and you can always check the timetables on line at the skanetrafiken site. The tickets cost 14SEK (€1.4) and are valid for one hour, this means you can make as many transfers between busses without having to pay again.

As I said before - biking is the best and nicest way to get around in Lund. However - if you the weather is rainy, gray or cold (Very unusual here, hahm..) you might want to take the bus! They go everywhere, but are really ugly.
Personally I get sort of an icky feeling after I have taken the bus, but I'm weak and sensitive so don't worry.
The busdrivers are really nice!

Lund is a student city, and moreover a very flat one (apart from its famous bike hill) which means you will see bikes everywhere, either in use or piled up against each other. The station is just one place where you can get one yourself.

The city is easily reached by a 45 minute direct train ride from Copenhagen airport.

Lund is well served by road and rail networks that give fast and direct access locally, nationally and from Europe. Bus and taxi services in Lund are well developed, and residents and visitors are encouraged to park their cars and travel by bus, bike or on foot, especially in the city centre.

Lund is a nice old city in the south of Sweden with about 100000 inhabitants. It has an easy going atmosphere, there are lots of young people and it's nice to stroll around the centre for a while.
