viggo: very good burger place with quality beer.

by cachaseiro Written Jun 19, 2007

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

i'm not a fan of burger chains as i think their burgers are almost always awful, but when a burger is really well made then i'm a great fan of burgers.
cafe viggo in lund serves really well made burgers where you get a proper piece of well grilled meat with whatever filling you want.

the place has outdoor seating too and it's a perfect place to pass time if you are waiting for the train as it's right by the station.
it surely beats your ordinary train station cafe with crappy coffee and club sandwich.

they have a fine beer selection and viggos too.
when i was there they had grolsch, staropramen and carlsberg on tap and various kinds of bottled beer.

Favorite Dish: i had a classic burger with a pint of grolsch and i was very happy with that on a sunny day.

  • Buljong: BULJONG – SOUP MAKES YOUR DAY!

by Experiencelund Updated Jan 23, 2012

Buljong is a small soup spot on Östra Mårtengatan, close to Mårtenstorget in the city centre of Lund.It is a lovely place, which serves a small, weekly changing menu of soups for around 60 SEK. Sourdough bread, dips and a very friendly service included! You can either buy a soup to go or eat it there, while sitting at the counter in the window.
    Very delicious!

Favorite Dish: Potato and leek soup with spring onions and parsley (55 SEK)!

  • Mikai vitenamese restaurant: Hidden gem in Lund!

by plasticbags Updated Aug 27, 2010

I love this place! Found it last year when I one of my collegues recommended it. The waiters (owners?) are really helpfull and nice. Cool and cosy interior.

Favorite Dish: Really nice duck and the sizzling beef is wicked. Also loooove their vietnamese dishes, fresh summerrolls with mango and herbs! its nice that they tell you how to eat the dishes, its very common to add the spices and fresch herbs as you please. but be careful, the saytay (?) chili is hella hot!

Hercules Bar: Watch the world go by

by clivedinburgh Updated Apr 4, 2011

We chose this place on the main square to grab a coffee and relax but succumbed to the soup of the day as it looked great. The staff were also great.

Favorite Dish: The potato & french bean soup came with rocket on the side, breadsticks wrapped in parma ham and a basket of bread. I broke my dietary rules as it all looked too good to miss. Only minor fault was the soup was on the cold side but this could have been how it was intended.

    Clean plates all round!

    Ebba's Skafferi (larder): Student hang-out

by illumina Written Feb 16, 2006

This cosy little cafe is a favourite of students apparently, and has a good choice of salads, baked potatoes, and sandwiches including panini's. Lots of vegetarian options, and they sell Braemhults juice, which is delicious, particularly the raspberry flavour.
