So much so that some people think the Milan star Ibrahimovic (formerly Malmö FF, Ajax, Juventus, Inter and Barcelona) should have his own street. This one was not found in his childhood quarters on the Rosengård estate but just off Lilla Torg. In the Malmö press, Zlatan is a bit of a god which he certainly is not in Stockholm, but sure, he is one of the most internationally famous people to come from Malmö whatever you think of him. A while ago, him and partner Helena bought an expensive villa at the seafront for when they are back in Sweden, and that probably cheered up some neighbours since house prices rose even more...

Husman in Saluhallen

Lilla Torg is a rendezvous place for hungry, thirsty and sociable people. On the northern, western and eastern sides, the ground floor of all the houses, except one, has got at least one cafe or restaurant. You will notice that Malmö has the most restaurants per capita of the Swedish cities.
Between noon and 1pm, the square is invaded by office people. Swedes have a long lunch break and always go out to eat. The majority determinedly head for Saluhallen in the northwestern corner, a dark red market hall.
There are several eateries and a cafe / bakery in Market Hall such as Bakery Cafe, Buono Pasta, Greece, Cu Vanna, Husman, Johan P, Kwai Tsan, Malmö Kebab, Cornelia, Short Stop, Sushi Ya, Yasso.

Eco-color city bus

Environmental awareness is an essential part all over scandinavia and Sweden is in radical role in many ways. City buses are colored green because it looks environment friendly and good for your eyes or suits better in Malmø or whatever reason there might be.

Hussars on Ribersborg beach

The hussars used to have their school area roughly where the huge towering "Kronprinsen" block is now. These days, they are only a few riders but they often take part in local events such as opening of horse shows and city celebrations.
