Not many people can say that they've actually STOOD on the Öresund Bridge which is normally for cars and trains only, but 80000 people have done so. Every June since the bridge opened in 2000 you could take part in Broloppet, a half marathon from Pepparholm on the Danish side, to the Stadium in Malmö. Sadly, this arrangement got too expensive and from 2007, the organisers instead have a 10 kilometre run which starts and finishes at Malmö Stadium but which includes rounding the Turning Torso.
