Malmo does have its own tiny international airport, but it barely needs to exist. It serves only as a terminal for budget airlines avoiding the more convenient Kastrup airport 20 minutes across the Oresund in Copenhagen. Both Wizz Air and Ryan Air run several flights to Malmo Airport, with destinations such as Budapest, Katowice, Belgrade, Malaga and London. There are a few other airlines too, mostly with Swedish destinations.
Kastrup, in contrast to Malmo, is the busiest airport in Scandinavia, and one of the busiest in Europe. The Oresund trains runs past the airport, on its way from Copenhagen to Malmo. You can grab the train there and be in Malmo in about 20 minutes. Being as Malmo Airport is 30km outside the city and accessible only by bus, it actually takes longer to get to the local airport than the one in Denmark!
Sturup located 30 km southeast of Malmo is a small airport, with flights to other Swedish airports, and a few country in Europe. The airport is a popular destination for weekend getaways. It is mainly used by low cost airlines for international routes.
The airlines serving the airport include Falcon, Malmo Aviation, Ryanair, WizzAir, SAS-Scandinavian, Skyways AB, Sterling, TNTA.
The airport has its own bus station, which connected with Malmo centre and takes you in 45 minutes, but has direct access to Hwy 108 and Motorway E65 too.
The Airport Coach departs every 30 to 45 minutes.
Taxis available at the airport operate on a fixed fare to Malmo and Lund but it is advisable to negotiate the fare before you take it.

Malmo airport connects the city and surrounding area to several destinations both in Sweden and Europe. It handles both scheduled and holiday airlines so it's one of the larger Swedish regional airports.
The airport has coach connections to both Malmo and Copenhagen as well as taxis and car hire. The actual location of the airport is a bit remote but it doesn't take long to get to any of the nearby towns.
