An equestrian explosion :-)
Horses are more common here than anywhere in the already highly horse populated Sweden. If you want to look at them, you can visit the national Swedish warmblood stud at Flyinge outside Lund, or the famous Arabian thoroughbred stud Blommeröd at Höör (www.blommerod.com) where you can also ride. Then there are the outdoor competitions around Malmö in summer - the most famous being Falsterbo Horse Show (see Skanör or Malmö page). If you want to ride yourself, there are plenty of choices, particularly with the sturdy and characteristic Icelandic horses which despite their small size is an adult horse. They have charmed Swedish riders completely and new trekking farms pop up all the time, especially in Österlen (see my Simrishamn page) and around Helsingborg.
