The best way from Stockholm to Solna is the Subway, Tunnelbanan. Trains leaving in both directions at least every 10 minute during daytime.

If you are planning to take the subway to or from the Solna Strand area or Lilla Alby in Sundbyberg, it's good to know that the service is limited at the Vreten subway station.
On weekdays the last stop in both directions is around 22.30. An weekends the station is open for traffic from 08.40 and the last train is around 17.10.

Stockholm must have the best public transport in the world. I've used bus 70 and the pendeltag, both drive often. HOWEVER, the train (pendeltag) broke down twice during my long weekend. I've been told it is being used too much. There were alternatives (bus, metro) but they took me much longer.
Also, during rush hour there will be no seat available.
