Favorite thing: Stockholm is a wonderful city - you can walk around for hours and discover something new around every corner! We had the most fun looking out for details - and Stockholm is full of them! Little windows, signs, strange "art"work, beautiful sculptures - an incredible wealth of details!

So don't miss them and enjoy each single one of them!

Favorite thing: I don't know what this building is and what is it used for but I loved this building so much that I took so many photos. It is situated close to the Royal palace and the Parliament house. Any information on it is welcome.

    Stunning Architecture

Favorite thing: Again, I encourage you to take in Stockholm at your own pace, in your own way, and in your own time... And the neatest thing is, this city lets you do just that! Would I go back again? You bet I would!

    My favourite houses

Favorite thing: Could someone give me an apartment there?! On the other hand, it is nicer to look at them from the outside. You can do that by walking along Barnhusviken, between the Central station area and Kungsholmen island.

    Decorative frieze on the Statsbiblioteket

form follows function - but not completely

Favorite thing: Gunnar Asplund did not believe in "absolute" minimalism in design. The interior of the City Library has some beautiful details, and if you are interested in architecture, you really need to pay attention to some of the ways in which Asplund designed this building to be a real "people's palace." But even on the exterior is this purely decorative and non-functional frieze, which incorporates a kind of hieroglyphic serving no purpose other than amusement.

Favorite thing: For a little surfing for free (book time some hours in advance though) or just to read most international papers, this is the place! Underground stations Odenplan or Rådmansgatan.

    Outside the Vasa Museum

Favorite thing: Oh, what a feeling! My feet and head hurt as though I'm standing on a round rock with a spire growing out of my head!

Favorite thing: It was my first impression - Stockholm reminded me Tallin and Riga city landscapes. Narrow streets of the old town and hundreds of spires.

    Haga Slott

    Haga Slott

Favorite thing: We came across Haga Slott while walking through Haga Park on our way to the butterfly house. It was pretty much hidden away behind a lot of trees and bushes...

Fondest memory: I like the look of this building, especially against the sky with all those clouds. Just feeling happy seeing this :-)
