Favorite thing: Known as The Swedish Versailles, Drottningholm Palace at Lovon
west of Stockholm worths a visit. When walking along its beautiful garden, you
should visit the Chinese Pavillion and the Guard's Tent.

Favorite thing: Visit Drottningholm Palace (the residence of the Swedish Royal Family), and while you are there make sure you take a guided tour of the Palace Theatre...it is the definate highlight! We had a special tour since we were the only ones there that day and it was fabulous! It's amazing to know the stories behind these old places...

I really loved this palace, it was one of my favourites in all of the European cities we visited. It was a little way out of Stockholm but worth the trip.

At the time it costed 50 KR for adults but with the Stockholm card it is free...

Favorite thing: Visit Drottningholm Castle - the residence of King Carl XVI Gustaf. Fabulous park and castle! Go there on a sunny summer day by steamboat from central Stockholm. If you're lucky, you might just catch a glimpse of the royal family ...
