General Pubs and Clubs: Pub with cheap beer and Africans
Well, it was a nice, small place where there were also some tables on the pedestrian way.
Small, cosy with a videoprojection, but unfortunatly without a toilet, at least I didn't find one.
But there is Burger King across the street and 7/11 to your right when stepping out. ;-)
Btw, I think it was called "Café Vasa", or "Vesa"...

I can't remember any of the names of the places that I went, but I remember going to some club that's entrance was right when you walked out of one of the train stations... Great drum&bass music... although make sure if you're a tourist that you bring your passport with you to get into the clubs.. They're pretty strict here... I probably would have not known exactly where to go, but I was staying with some nice Austrian guys who knew all the places to go, hence why I don't remember any of the names...
General Pubs and Clubs: Stockholm for New years
We are currently on our trip to Stockholm for New years. So far it has been nothing much to write home about. Especially the 31st passed by without any fanfare. Dont know where the people and all that you hear about the beautiful swedish people were hiding. Leaving tomorrow and not sure I will be back soon. To be fair not sure if things are different in summer.
Dress Code: Easy dressing. Its cool and infact the bar staff and the bouncers have been really friendly and helpful.
In the summertime people party basically every night of the week. When the weathers hot all the outdoor bars and restaurants are packed with happy party-going people.
There are several excellent bars and clubs, especially on the Southside (of course), well actually most of the clubs are downtown, but I would recommend that you start out on the Southside and then take a cab (or walk) in to town around midnight.
Here are just a few good places to go
Stockholm never sleeps, and...
Stockholm never sleeps, and the entertainment found in this city is amazing. There are plenty of night clubs that stay open until 5 am. The city center is teeming with restaurants, bars and pubs—especially in the area around Stureplan. Stockholm boasts no fewer than seven restaurants that have been awarded stars in the Guide Rouge. But there is also a wide range of restaurants for people with different tastes and on different budgets. The Stockholm restaurant scene is generally noted for its inventiveness, openness to new influences, and superb raw produce.
General Pubs and Clubs: Don't go to Sweden
Sweden the country where everyone is equal.
What a joke!
I've never seen and experienced such racism.
All the night clubs seem to discriminate anyone who is dark skinned or has a non arian look.
I am dark but not African and I was refused many times at the in places in the big cities in this beautiful blond and totally racist realm.
Even the liberal people here seem to have a deep ingrained racism, even if it's not obvious at first.
I've met some of these types, who at first are very understanding and open; but after a while their racism begins to show. It's the small things like; is there internet in Canada, you dont understand , you're foreign...
The Swedes are all blue eyed and well many are nieve. They seem to think that Sweden is the center of the world and the rest of the world is in awe and follows everything that happens in this cold and awful place.
Well the world doesn't, and cares even less what happens.
I certainly dont!

Nightlife in Stockholm has a...
Nightlife in Stockholm has a reputation for being very lively, but, in my opinion, that is only in Scandinavian terms. The truth is that people are usually very open and fun. Even if most people are really very stylish, I wouldn't consider them as posh.
Dress Code: Dress casual, but very smart and with a crazy touch.
NIGHT CLUBSGiven the high cost...
NIGHT CLUBSGiven the high cost of drinking in Sweden, a night out on the town can be expensive. The best value is probably at one of the jazz clubs favoured by the young or at one of the piano bars, which offer a quieter and more relaxing environment for a late-night drink.
Bibloteksgatan 9 Tel: 08-611 80 30 Popular restaurant with large bar and small dance floor downstairs.
Opening hours: Night clubs and discos usually close around 3am, but in Stockholm some places have extended this to 5am. Unfortunately, many nightclubs have long queues outside after 9 or 10pm, even if it's not full inside. This is an irritating way of showing that the club is popular. One way to avoid the queue is to get there early or to book a table and have dinner there so that you don't have to pay the entrance fee to the nightclub.

Generally the pubs in the Söder, the the more 'in' at the Birger Jarlsgatan.
Dress Code: Not any particular dresscode at the pubs, but at the more fashionable places around the Birger Jarlsgatan don't wear jeans generally.

too much beer to remeber :): nighty nine bottles of beer
In recent years, Stockholm's restaurant life has blossomed. There are lots of new, fashionable restaurants with enticing menus. These days, a restaurant's atmosphere is almost as important as the culinary experience that it provides. A number of Stockholm restaurants have been awarded a star in the venerable Guide Rouge, including Grands Franska Matsal, Fredsgatan 12, Paul & Nobert, Operakällaren and Wedholms Fisk. These award-winning restaurants are well worth a visit. A good idea is to try the lunch menus, which are often priced quite reasonably. Many restaurants serve food that is influenced by a mix of different countries and culinary traditions. Known as crossover cuisine, the dishes served in these restaurants often involve intriguing and unusual combinations.
and some wine ... too: ninety bottles of beer
The bars and pubs of Stockholm are supported by a loyal clientele. New places are constantly popping up. In Birkastan, an area known for its many bars, the atmosphere is always festive. Several trendy spots, such as Storstad and Tranan, are located in the Vasastan district. You'll find comfortable, pleasant pubs such as Bistro Ruby and Mårten Trotzig in Gamla Stan. In östermalm and Norrmalm, nightclubs mingle with bars such as East, Lydmar and O-baren. Enjoy a drink at the bar, meet up with friends or make new acquaintances. Many bars and pubs also serve light meals.
Blue Moon Bar: Music at Blue Moon Bar
Blue Moon Bar in the central of Stockholm is a good place for live music.
This night club is open until 05.00 at Wednesday to Sunday, unfortunately the age limit is 26 years!
The Bishop's Arms: Pub
A nice pub with a very large choice of whiskeys. You have a good chance to find your favorite flavor. In case you get lost while studying the whisky list please ask the pub manager for advises.
General Pubs and Clubs: The Vodka Ice bar
Where else would you go to a Vodka Ice Bar but Sweden.
This place you line up. Pay your entry. Get a jacket and enter. Order your one drink, and snap away with the photos whilst you enjoy.
