Want to enjoy a nice beer or whisky: visit this traditional Irish pub! It is Wirströms Pub and it is located in the Gamla Stan (Old town) in Stockholm. Wirströms used to be a bakery dating back to the year 1800. The cellar vault, with its many rooms to get lost in, dates from as far back as the fourteenth century.
It is a nice pub and a great place to sit down, relax, and enjoy one of their many beers from tap. Hahaha, and it must be a great pub as they have Grolsch beer here!!! :-))) The whisky lovers will be happy here as well as they have a selection of 130 different whisky's. And when you are feeling a bit hungry and fancy some pub food, than you are in the right spot as well. You can order some traditional pub food like fish and chips, burgers, club sandwiches and many more for under 100 SEK.
Downstairs live bands perform every night between Wednesday and Saturday. On Monday evenings there are Jam Sessions.
The pub is open every day from 11:00 to 1:00 at night. Credit cards are accepted.
Dress Code: Come as you are, in jeans or suit; it doesn't matter.

Wirströms pub is located in the Gamla Stan (The Old Town) at Stora Nygatan 13, just down the street from Stampen (see previous nightlife tip). The easiest way to get here is to walk down Västerlångatan, that is the most busy street in the Gamla Stan. Go down to the next big street: Stora Nygatan and that's where you will find Wirströms pub.
Wirströms is not far from the subway station Gamla Stan. Turn left when you get out of the subway station, go until you see a big fancy house with Latin words on top (that's the house of nobility). Now you just turn right to Stora Nygatan and you’ll find the pub.
Dress Code: Come as you are, in jeans or suit; it doesn't matter.

The Dubliner in Stockholm has moved to a new address at Hötorget. Do not go to Smålandsgatan looking for The Dubliner! Also The Dubliner Southside is no longer there.
There is only one Dubliner in Stockholm, the original Irish pub in town, from 1992. The address is:
Hollädaragatan 1
111 36 Stockholm

THE best place in Stockholm to enjoy a live band, meet beautiful women and dance on the tables, not necessarily in that order! Live music every night and always a good crowd, unless Iron Maiden is in town for a concert...
Dress Code: Casual but there is a cover charge after about 9 or 10 pm.

There is an Irish pub in Gamla Stan. The night I was there, there was a guitarist who was playing and singing many good songs.
Fun atmosphere, singalongs when there is a guitar player. I would say it is not typical Swedish, though.
Dress Code: Very casual.

Really cool place near the Slussen subway station! It's in the pub street of Stockholm, so it's pretty easy to find!
If you like football, this is the place for you on Saturday afternoon! Enter the place and find a massive screen with live English footie, a restaurant area where every booth has it's own plasma tv to follow the match, and there's even two screens above the toilets!
Besides serving quality pints of beer, the food is really good too! Definitely a good place to hang out on football afternoons and early evenings!
Dress Code: Casual, they do check IDs sometimes. They've got an easy going door policy, with not annoying bouncers selecting people! Come in and have a great time.

O'Learys is always a safe choice in any city, and nowhere more so than in Stockholm.
A good outdoor serving area, combined with a restaurant part just inside and further in is the main bar and a small stage for musicians.
Seatings by the bar is mainly long benches, encuraging mixing of people and friendlieness.
Nice atmosphere and good service makes you feel right at home. So pull up a bar chair and lets have a pint of the black stuff.
