We all know that H&M exists almost everywhere but it is a Swedish invention(like IKEA). Therefore it is cheaper in Sweden and there is a Hennes every 30 meters! It's heaven for cheap nice looking clothes. Women: I encourage you to go with empty suitcases and load up on the season clothes!
Men: Don't take your girlfriends here! Stay far, far away : )
There is a H&M store at practically every corner in Stockholm, especially downtown. They sell fashion and cosmetics at low prices.
There are also quite a few vintage clothing shops where one can find great bargains.
H&M is originally a Swedish store, but it's now seems to be conquuering the world, so chances are you have heard of it. Anyway, H&M is where many many of us Swedes buy most of our clothes. The reason for this - the stora has a high sense of fashion yet it is so cheap. OK, you have to be prepared that the quality thus usn't always the best ...
For example, if you tried a shirt and think it ok, then want the same on but in a different colour -try it on too, there may be variations!
What to buy: Cheap jeans (not brand ones but if you can live with that ...)
Shirts and tank tops
Cheap basic wear
Odd funny clothes
Bath and beauty items
What to pay: Bargain tank top from 10$, the most expensive leather jacket maybe up to 200$.
During recent years, Swedish fashion has had great success both in Sweden and on the international scene. Some of the most prominent are Anna Holtblad, Filippa K, Whyred and naturally the clothing giant, H&M, with stores in almost every town in Europe and now even established in the USA.
