Most of the time I fly to Stockholm. From Amsterdam KLM and SAS have the best fares, and they also fly directly to Arlanda Airport. Air France sometimes has a good fare aswell, but then you will be flown to Paris first.
Ryanair also lands in Stockholm, although not in Arlanda, the main airport of Stockholm. Ryanair lands in Västerås and Skavsta.

Ryanair, my favourite budget airline, cost me about 40 GBP to a return ticket from London to Stockholm.
The Stockholm Card gives free entry to most attractions (including museums) and free travel on public transport (excluding local ferries and airport buses).
