Using the public transport system is by far the easiest way to get around. The SL passes are valid on busses, subway trains, commuter trains, the number 7 tram during summer weekends (depending on card), as well as the town pedestrian ferries (one month or longer validity only). Passes are available in 24HR, 72HR (both with rebated/free entry at tourist spots around town), 30 Day, 1 quarter, and 1 year durations. If you're staying more than 3 days but less than a week, it may be worth your while getting a strip of 20 pre-paid tickets (one trip costs 2-5 tickets depending on zones crossed). For more info see htp://www.sl.se

    Stockholm's Public Transportation

The local public tranportation is great, but sometimes crowded enroute to popular destinations. The Arlanda Express and Airport buses are both fine transport between the airport and Stockholm (the buses are cheaper, of course). If it's rush hour and you have to be somewhere at a certain time, take the Arlanda Express - it's clean, comfortable, and relaxing to ride (and we all need less stress while traveling, right?).

Stockholm has a quite well organized traffic system. Buses are running on time tables and they are quite on time. The subway system is very good, and all subway stations has a different look and feel and they are a piece of Art each. (Some say, the Stockholm subway is the worlds longest museum.) But anyway, if you are at a subway station, look around carefully, as you might find some nice and funny things around. (Like some overized hiking boots on the ceiling. :)

Public transport is working rather good in Stockholm. It is easy to use and most easy in most places is to use the Tunnelbana which is the local subway system that will take you just about anywhere.

If the weathers bad or if your feet are aching, public transportation is excellent. The fastest way to get around is by subway, but the buses run quite smoothly as-well.

Det ar mycket latt att ta sig runt kommunalt i Stockholm. Tunnelbana, pendeltag samt bussar tar dig runt hela Stockholm och lite till.
