    Uppsala Old Cemetery

In the end of the 18th century this place started to be used as a cemetery. It can be a nice place to walk around in as there are many trees and allées and some nice tombs to look at. Some of the famous people buried here are:
Dag Hammarskjöld - the 2nd Secretary General of the United Nation
Gustav Fröding - a Swedish writer and poet
Gösta Knutsson - the author of several children books (about Pelle Svanslös)
Bruno Liljefors - a Swedish painter

In Swedish "Uppsala gamla kyrkogård" is the final resting place for many prominent Swedes. It has been in use since 1760s' and there's guided tours available as well as a information sign spotting the places of famous persons.
