Old Fire Brigade Station

This is the old Fire Brigade Station. In this tower, the long textile hoses were hung to dry after use.
(I don´t say you shall go here to look at this house, but if you pass by you might like to know what it is ...)

View tower

On top of the Storkasberget there is a small tower for getting better view. Get up and take a look.
You will find the ways by signs that indicate Storkasberget on highway number 175, just before Ingesund (entering the industrial road to the left) or 1.5 km thereafter (both ways meet half ways).

Arvika seen from Storkasberget

To get an overview of Arvika you can go up with car to the Storkas montain.
The name signifies Great beacon fire montain. Beacon fires were used in ancient times to give signals for long distance, when enemies were coming and things like that.
From the mountain (if you go up in the view tower) you will se Kyrkviken which is a calm part of the lake Glafsfjorden.
Note to the left Mikaeli church and to the right the Trinity church.
