Once you have arrived in Lapland you have to try dogsledding. There are quite a few palces that has offers sleddog trips both short and overnight trips. Lapland is quite a big place so let me be a bit more specific- if you are in the Hemavan / Tärnaby area - 7 km from the Arctic Circle I can recommend that you go on sleddog trip in Europest largest nature reserve.
This will be a trip of life time!

Go up the mountain with a guide, he will show you all sorts of things you won't notice, going by yourself. The view from up there is spectacular! Only in summer, about from May till August.

Local ingredients, especially game dominates the menu. Grouse, Reindeer, or Capercaillie are elegantly paired to wild mushrooms or whey etc. The wine list in particular makes good reading.
Sanninggarden lies at the foot of Artfjallet, only 5 km north of Hemavan. Why Sanninggarden? - Delicious food and superb service.
