Here they serve very good ice cream. I have just bought one here so I have not so much to say about this place. It is nice to buy an ice cream here and sit outside to eat it, because you have the harbour there and all the boats. A really hot summer day many people will sit here and enjoy a cup of coffee or an ice cream. A good place for a family to go to.
Favorite Dish: Buy one of the delicious ice creams.

Well, this is a special for students, but everybody can come here and eat and have a cup of coffee. I would recommend the good sandwiches they make here. It is not an expesive place at all, so if you are a backpacker, I recommend you to go here and have breakfast or a sandwich lunch. It is about ten minutes walk from the city. After some certain hour they sell alcohol, but I am not sure if they can serve everybody or if you have to be a student. TRY!
Favorite Dish: The sandwiches.....All of them.

Well, you can get a coffee and a little cake for 20 Swedish crones (about 2 euros) and that is quite cheap. It is not maybe the best healthy thing to eat, but if you are on vacation it doesnt matter. If it is good weather you can bring it with you, otherwise you can sit inside there and enjoy it.
Favorite Dish: The coffee taste the same is any other place. But it is maybe not so pleasant to drink coffee from a plastic cup. That will be your choice, but it is a cheap place.

This is a cosy Chinese lunch restaurant with buffé. You can eat here and relax. The food is of good quality and many different kind of dishes to choose between. You will find something you like here. after the food they serve you thea or coffee. The stuff is very nice and pleasant. Very serviceminded. I have no complaints at all.
Favorite Dish: There were so many things you could eat at the buffé, so I cant give you any tip here. Try by yourself and see what you will like most.

This place is situated att he train station and it sells coffee, cookies and also lots of sanwiches. They sell pies and sallades too. In this place I have never eaten, just having a cup of coffee and warm sandwich. I can recommend them for you. The environmental is not the most exciting ones, but when you have no time to go down town and eat, it is ok place.
Favorite Dish: I would try the warm sandwiches if I was you. I can recommend them. If I remember right I ate one with chicken, and it was really delicious.

I had lunch at restaurant Pråmen in Västerås. The location of the restaurant is a bit different. Restaurant Pråmen used to be a cargo boat that transported sand, but the boat is now moored to the edge of Lake Mälaren and in use as a restaurant. The food in the restaurant is good. I had salmon with potatoes in a creamy sauce with salad. The whole dish costs around 60 to 70 Swedish Krona. I don't know the exact price anymore, but this is the average price for a daily lunch dish in Sweden.
Most restaurants have one or two daily dishes that go around this price. You can order a la carte as well of course, but this is mostly more expensive. There is a huge difference in prices between lunch and dinner! Swedes go very often to a restaurant for lunch, but dinner is more exclusive.

A: Check out train connections on www.sj.se. The last two winters, when we have had a lot of snow, SJ have had a lot of problems with cancelled and late trains though.
