The Almighty Kronor
Favorite thing: Compared to Toronto, things aren't as expensive in Göteborg as you might think, and even though there are bank machines everywhere, I'd still recommend keeping a little cash in your pockets just in case; not everybody accepts credit cards, and you can forget about Traveller's Cheques. One thing to remember though when buying SEK (the abbreviation for Swedish currency) from your local exchange, is that the lady is going to try and give you many 20's: not a good idea. A package of cigarettes alone will cost you almost SEK 40 ($4.50 USD), so try to get as many 100's and 500's as you can; it'll not only take up much less space in your wallet, but will give you that subconscious feeling of great wealth and power. :o)
