Göteborg is known as "Little London" and there are several British Islands style pubs like the Dubliner downtown. My favourite is the Rover, near Järntorget. As it is off the tourist path it has more locals in it and it is in a more exiting part of town than downtown. Finally, it is currently the pub most popular with the UK expats themselves which means that the assortment of brews both on tap and bottle is better than most and you will find beers often not seen in Swedish pubs. There is only one little snag: Don't walk there alone at night girls as this is a bit of a red light district night time (as common in harbour cities) although this one is fairly harmless compared to the rest of Europe! The owners also run "Den tatoverede aenke" in Copenhagen if you know that one...
Favorite Dish: Proper English cider since it is otherwise so hard to find in Swedish pubs
