The rock carvings in Högsbyn,Tisselskog cover the area of ~100 x 600 meters and follows mostly close to the shore of the lake called Råvarpen.
The carvings were created during the Bronze Age (about 1800 to 500 before our time).

The aqueduct in Håverud is situated about 13 km to the north of Mellerud at the western side of Lake Vänern. The aqueduct itself is 32,5 m long and leads the water from the Dalsland Canal over the Upperud Stream. It was constructed and built under the leadership of the great inventor Nils Ericsson during the years 1865 - 68, and at the spot railway, car road and a water passage with locks crosses each other. The hight from the locks to the road is 50 meters.
Not far from the aqueduct, the rock carvings in Tisselskog are very well worth a visit (see my next tip).
