The M/S Magnus Gabriel offers various boat trips like short ones to Ekens archipelago and Spiken (fishing village) but can also be chartered for shrimp tasting cruises or evening cruises.
We've chosen the short tour to Ekens archipelago on a lazy Sunday afternoon and have not been disappointed! The weather was just perfect, we've been sitting outside in the sun at the boat's stern and just admired the 120 small islands and skerries of the archipelago while floating by. At departure you can also catch a glimpse of Kinnekulle mountain at the South/ Eastern shore of lake Vänern. There is a huge population of waterfowl living at the skerries and the whole area has become a nature reserve.
Onboard the M/S Magnus Gabriel there is a café and restaurant. The boat leaves by the jetty of Läckö Castle or at Spiken.
