hassan_abu Says: Lysekil church was built in 1901by Adrian Peterson. The granite which it is built is hewn by hand and winched up into place. The tower is 63 metres high and the spire rises 95 metres above sea level, which means that the church also functions as a navigation mark.

hassan_abu Says: If you want to go to Uddevalla from Lysekil, take the ferry and go to highway E161 which will lead you to Uddevalla. There's this big mall called Torp and there's even a MacDonlads there.

hassan_abu Says: There are several interesting hilltops here in Lysekil. You'll see some interesting sculptures or stuff like that in most little hills near the centrum area. Here is the lookout tower on one of these hills.

This part of Lysekil at the very end of the "Stångenäs" peninsula is a wonderful place where the line between land and water is so obvious! The hard rock meets the soft, but o' so eternal, water.
