After arriving in Stroemstad you maybe would love to visit also the islands that stand not far from there. In that case you can take the boat that leaves every day (from june the 24th) the harbour to join Furholmen Island. The boat's name is Turlista M/F Birgit. I'm not sure about it but I think is possible to eat something after arriving in Furholmen by the restaurant close to the stop point.
For more infos look at the site below (but remember is only in norwegian!!!):
Blue Flag is an international environmental campaign which aims for cleaner seas and a cleaner coastal environment. Stroemstad's harbor received it one year ago.

Favorite thing: Outside Stroemstad there is a wonderful Archipelago called Koster Islands. Tou can visit not only Furholmen but also Alaska, Styrsoe and Ramsoe or choose a sealsafari to Ursholmen lighthouse. On every island is possible to spend some hours on the rocky or sandy beaches.
Favorite thing: When I passed the Gammelbura I took two pictures of the fjord, and here I put the pic that shows the east part of it. I was fascinating by this panorama, especially becuase it was the first time I saw a "real fjord" ( If we can't cnsider the Oslo fjord, that is a large one, not so suggestive and wild).
