Starting out in Martigny, I drove up to the top and then back down the other side. When I made the trip in September 1999, there was fog obscuring the view the higher I climbed.

The border between Switzerland and Italy

The nice face of diversity and seasonal changes: in summer the aspect is totally different. even if snow is there permanently at higher altituddes.

Monviso over the clouds

Highest peaks emerge sharply from the clouds, the most well known are recognosied by their peculiar shape. This is the case for Monviso, not very tall but so easy to spot even from far away.

Piedmont Alps

Weather may be really unpleasant on the ground, with low grey clouds or foggy, but the airplane will bring you to a completely different dimension: two paralell universes.
