This is the best accidental discovery that we made. This store is bigger than the one in the factory and has the same prices... sometimes even better, because whenever there are products that had some slight problem, such as a packaging problem, they put them here on mega discount. The other benefits are that this place is not as crowded AND even better, they have a huge range of Nestle products here (unlike the other store which only has chocolate). Along with Cailler chocolate, you can buy water, other Nestle candy products, frozen pizza, shampoo, baby products... and all at factory prices!!!

After you take your tour through the factoy, you can go to the store inside of the factory, and buy a variety of Cailler and other Nestle products for the lowest prices you will find in Switzerland. The downside is that the store inside of the factory is crowded and lines can be long. Instead of shoping at this store, you are better off going to the Nestle Factory Store down the street...

Chocolate lovers couldn't possible get a better deal. For just a few francs at the door... it was 3 with a student ID... maybe 4 or 5 for adults (although we read that it would be free in a guide book... but I'm not complaining)... you get a tour. Well really, you watch a little movie in French that had headsets for German and English, among other languages, about how Cailler chocolate and how it affects the senses and brings out the passion. Then you watch a video (in french with german and english subtitles) about how chocolate is made. That turns out to be a pretty good thing, because you don't see much chocolate making during the tour, seems like they were trying to keep their chocolate making secrets to themselves. During the tour, you learn that Cailler was bought by Nestle many years ago, that Cailler chocolate is only made in Broc, and uses fresh Gruyère milk, unlike other Nestle products that use milk powder. You also learn that the Swiss keep the good chocolate for themselves and export the remainders to the outside word, and that they consume an amazing 12 kg/year. But the BEST part of the tour is the tasting room, in which you get to taste as much Cailler chocolate as you can handle - so good, I went twice!

Ok, I'll be honest... the only reason why I even noticed the city of Broc was because of the similarity of the name to that of my nephew, Brock. If you are in this region of Switzerland, you are...
