    Did not eat here because it was booked out. As you can see this is really old - a 14th century building.

    When a restaurant appears in the Guide Gault/Millau Suisse 2005 then it has earned its name. Such restaurants are naturally excellent but comes with a high price tag

  • This place is pretty full at 12 o'clock, when lots of students gather here for a meal. The food is actually quite good as well: Bagels, baguette, soup etc. And it suit a student budget.

  • This restaurant was recommended by our B&B hostess. We arrived early lucky for us because in no time all the tables were taken by the local people with their families.

    We had pasta with a generous amount of shrimps and we were very satisfied.

  • I prefer this one over Molino. The atmosphere is better, though the prices are similar.

  • Molino is an upmarked Swiss Pizza chain, with pizzas from 17 Sfr. upwards. Sitting outside is really good here, since it tends to get quite load inside. However it's probably not the best Pizzeria in Fribourg.

    We sat on the terrace overlooking the river Saane and enjoyed a fish dinner with a glass of local wine. The Walliser meat fondue is the speciality in this restaurant.

    I noticed most of the guests were local and were eating different types of fondue. Raclette is also very popular - its melted cheese server with potatoes - really delicious if you like cheese. The Fribourger fondue is supposed to be the best. Most of the guest were local so this is a sure sign that the food is good.

    Just a little place without any pretention... It's a convenience store and a tea room. You can buy little things, pastries and some coffee or tea and have a seat.
