1. Uni Bastions
2. Library and museum
This university campus was built between 1868 and 1871 in an attractive park near the opera house.
The university library contains a Rousseau Museum with manuscripts, books and musical compositions by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, but this museum was unfortunately closed for renovation when I was there.

1. Parc des Eaux-Vives
2. Entrance to the park and the Scene Ella Fitzgerald
The Parc des Eaux-Vives is a smaller neighbor of the Parc de la Grange on the south shore of Lake Geneva.
The building up on the hill is a fancy French restaurant which seems to be very well known among people who are interested in that sort of thing.
For the rest of us, the park is the site of a summer music venue called "Scene Ella Fitzgerald" which specializes in free concerts of "Musiques Colorées" -- flamenco, rap, jazz, pop, funk, reggae, chanson and world folk music -- on summer evenings in July and August.

Not far from the city center you find the Parc de Bastions. It is located behind Uni Bastions and has a separate station. Lie down after a stressful day. Enjoy a game of street chess or some drinks at the restaurant at the entrance.
