One of the biggest and most popular bridge in Geneva is the Mont Blanc Bridge (French: Pont du Mont-Blanc). This bridge it could be easy meeting point. From this bridge you could see famous water jet (French: Jet d'eau) on Lake Geneva (French: le lac Léman).
Geneva is situated by Lac Léman. Lac Léman, or Lake Geneva in English, is the largest natural freshwater lake in western Europe, covering an area of 582km2. When in Geneva, there is the Rive Gauche (left or southern bank), where is situated the Old Town, and the Rive Droit (right or northern bank) where is situated the modern part of the city and the main train station. To go from the right bank to the left bank of the Rhone, you just cross one of the seven bridges, being that the Mont Blanc Bridge is the most notorious one.
The name of Mont-Blanc Bridge is given to the honor of the large mountain that overlooks the city from afar. On the left side of the view, you can see one of the old boats that sail on Lake Geneva. The bridge is also connected the north and south part of the city .
This lovely parc (yes, also in winter it was a pleasant place!) was near my Hôtel and I walked through it whenever I went to the Lake and Bridge du Mont Blanc.
Near that Pont were lots of birds and each day I tried to feed them some of my cookies but there were soooo many.......and the ships and boats were also covered up for winter.....
The Pont du Mont Blanc is a long swinging bridge at Lake Geneva. From here you can have a nice view on Geneva and its fountain.
