In my opinion, a minimum of 2 days is needed for this trip. But you can also choose a segment for day trips (such as Geneva to Speiz and return via Bern to Geneva).Different rail passes are available, check with www.goldenpass.ch ot ww.sbb.ch .
The best way to go geneva is to take a Golden Parnoramic train which takes you through the hevenly beuty of Swistzerland.
