Compared in travel guides to cornucopia, Manora is very good self-service restaurant with a plenty of different kinds of food: chicken, beef, pork, fish, pasta, pizza, desserts, salads… and countless possibilities to create own meal by combining them.
Manora is probably the best choice for the budget travelers.

Manora self-service restaurant on the top floor of the mega-store Manor in rue Saint-Laurent, offers a wide range of excellent and very cheap food, including chicken, beef, pork, fish, pasta, pizza, desserts, salads… The special about this restaurant is very nice view of Lausanne.

There is following description of Myo Sushi Bar at The Sushi World Guide: "Sushi, sashimi & fusion cuisine. The best terrace in town, beautiful surrounding, casual place, 3 minutes walk from Hotel Palace, center town." We have not tasted any of the food in it, but we have to agree with the part about "the best terrace in town" and "beautiful surrounding".
Esplanade de Montbenon – Montbenon Promenade is the venue of our first walk in Lausanne, and one of our favourite places in the city. It is great to enjoy the coffee at such place, and that is what, at least, offers Myo Sushi Bar.

The building is like a mantion. Indoors, cosy, classy rooms. There is also a fire-place in one. Outdoors terrace with lucious gardens and glimpse of the lake.
The menus are inexpensive for the quality of the cuisine, and allow you to taste different aromas that all fit in together.

It's a very nice restaurant with gastronomic cuisine and they have a large wine card. It's perfect for a special occasion... The place is nice, but could be renovated a bit, specially the reception area.
There is a lovely terrasse too.
In the fall, they have "chasse" (game) which is also apparently very good, although I haven't tasted it.
They also have rooms, so that way you don't have to worry about having to drive home.
Everything looks excellent on the menu, and the plates we saw on other people's tables made our mouth water...
We chose the Menu "Le Gourmand", which you can find on their website.

This Italian restaurant serves excellent food in a very family-like atmosphere. The staff is nice and helpful and its costumers are locals from the neighborhood.
