It was a great memory when visit chillon castle, greeting by the peoples who dress as the gurads in medieval time, later on we know that they are all students from a University in Lausanne who study in the field of TOurism

Entering the castle, all the attendants are greeting by a group of local artists who play music in an opera, it was really a theatrical medieval time, the singer , the iron man, a group of comedian, a servant of the King with their children, we are really got an enjoyment and will be an unforgotten memory of Chillon Castle

The Castle of Chillon is a medieval fort built on the water's edge of the Lake of Geneva. Its oldest constructions on the lower parts go back to the 11th century.
Because of its strategic position controlling the narrow passage between lake and mountains on the major northsouth route, from the míddie of the 12th century, Chillon castle belonged to the Counts of Savoy.
Only a short ride away from Lausanne, this castle is definitely a must see. You can reach it either by car, bus, train, or even boat.

The great rock of Chillon projecting from Lake Geneva provided a natural stronghold, guarding the highway between Rome and its northern empire. Alpine views are superb - especially from the prison chamber. Byrom wrote a famous poem 'The Prissoner of Chillon' inspired by a historical episode relating to the imprisonment of Bonivar in the 16th century.
Look for Byron's name, inscribed by the poet on the third pillar.
